Are We Good Samaritans?

As christians we are commanded to love. If we are truly new creatures in Christ we cannot help but love others because the Holy Spirit dwells in us. The Holy Spirit is of God and God is indeed love.
He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us because we owed a price we could not pay. Only Christ's blood was pure enough to turn the wrath of God from all of us sinners and purify us from our sins. Christ was crushed beneath God's wrath for our sins. A completely innocent man crushed beneath His own Father's wrath for a world full of hopeless vile sinners. How great a love is that?
How could any of us deny another the right to know Christ's love? We cannot. Not if we are thankful, truly born again, and filled with love for Christ in our hearts. As well as for our fellow man, as we are commanded.
There is something sacred about holding your own Bible in your hands and meditating on God's words for us and how we are to live. It deepens our knowledge and matures our relationship with God. It enables us to have a better understanding of Christ, while having a closer walk with Him in our daily lives. I, peronally, cannot imagine not owning my own Bible. Can you?
Unfortunately, many people are not as blessed as we are. There are people who do not own their own book of God's sacred word. I realize for many that is a hard concept to grasp. But yet it is true for many people in the world. For this reason I endorse and beseech everyone reading this to donate to the Good Samaritan Ministries. www.gsministries.org
In Isaiah 5: 13 God's word says.'Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because [they have] no knowledge: and their honourable men [are] famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.'
There will be a day when we will all give an account of our deeds. I believe Christ will take all things into consideration : Did we help our brethren? Did we give drink to those thristy? Did we feed the hungry? Did we give provisions to those spiritually malnourished? Did we truly love as we were commanded?

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [stripes]. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more. Luke 12:48

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (John 13:34,35) Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. (Romans 12:9,10) He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. (1John 2:10)
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. (1Timothy 6:7) The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all.(Proverbs 22:2)

I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35)But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.(1 John 3: 17,18)

Do Not Be Conformed To The World

No true self professing Christian ever sets out to be conformed to the world. Some Christians may not even realize they are conformed to the world. The hypocrite would never profess to being conformed to the world either. Rather a hypocrite would have you believe they are living a holy life, as we are commanded. How many stop and realize, we do not know what is in anothers heart.
People become conformed to the world by justifying their actions in telling their self,'Well So-n- so goes to church every Sunday and does this. Therefore it cannot be wrong.' Or 'Its such a small thing how can God hold it against me? If He judges me harshly for it He will have to So -n-so too.' We should never fool ourselves into thinking because a large majority of the people is living a certain way and we fail to keep God's commandments, we will not be held accountable. God is not going to make an exception because everyone else is doing 'it'.
God tells us to be holy because He is holy. He gave His only begotten Son so that we might have life eternally with Him. Jesus Christ is our only way to Salvation, He is our Savior, He is our only hope.
I know many people will think or say, God IS LOVE. Most assuredly He is or else He would not have gave His only begotten Son for a defiled corrupted humanity. However, we must remember He did give is only begotten Son so that we might have hope. The choice is ours and it is a choice we make everyday.
Most do not like to hear that God is a God wrath but I assure you it is true.

Romans 1:18 Fo the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Romans 2: 5.
Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 12: 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Psalm 5
For the director of music. For flutes. A psalm of David.

consider my sighing.

my King and my God,
for to you I pray.

in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait in expectation.

with you the wicked cannot dwell.

you hate all who do wrong.

bloodthirsty and deceitful men
the Lord abhors.

will come into your house;
in reverence will I bow down
toward your holy temple.

because of my enemies—
make straight your way before me.

their heart is filled with destruction.
Their throat is an open grave;
with their tongue they speak deceit.

Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,
for they have rebelled against you.

let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
Leviticus 11:44 I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am holy. Do not make yourselves unclean by any creature that moves about on the groundIsaiah 35:8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.Micah 4:2 Many nations will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.1Give ear to my words, O Lord,2Listen to my cry for help,3In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice;4You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil;5The arrogant cannot stand in your presence;6You destroy those who tell lies;7But I, by your great mercy,8Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness9Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;10Declare them guilty, O God!11But let all who take refuge in you be glad;12For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous;

Check Yourself

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because  narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

For Such A Time As This

Isaiah 30

 1Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
 2That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
 3Therefore shall the strength of Pharaoh be your shame, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion.
 4For his princes were at Zoan, and his ambassadors came to Hanes.
 5They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach.
 6The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them.
 7For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.
 8Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:
 9That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:
 10Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
 11Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.
 12Wherefore thus saith the Holy One of Israel, Because ye despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon:
 13Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant.
 14And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water withal out of the pit.
 15For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength: and ye would not.
 16But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses; therefore shall ye flee: and, We will ride upon the swift; therefore shall they that pursue you be swift.
 17One thousand shall flee at the rebuke of one; at the rebuke of five shall ye flee: till ye be left as a beacon upon the top of a mountain, and as an ensign on an hill.
 18And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
 19For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
 20And though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, and the water of affliction, yet shall not thy teachers be removed into a corner any more, but thine eyes shall see thy teachers:
 21And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
 22Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.
 23Then shall he give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures.
 24The oxen likewise and the young asses that ear the ground shall eat clean provender, which hath been winnowed with the shovel and with the fan.
 25And there shall be upon every high mountain, and upon every high hill, rivers and streams of waters in the day of the great slaughter, when the towers fall.
 26Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.
 27Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning with his anger, and the burden thereof is heavy: his lips are full of indignation, and his tongue as a devouring fire:
 28And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err.
 29Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.
 30And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.
 31For through the voice of the LORD shall the Assyrian be beaten down, which smote with a rod.
 32And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it.
 33For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, for the king it is prepared; he hath made it deep and large: the pile thereof is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it.

From Isaiah God's Word

Thus says the Lord,
The Holy One of Israel, and his Maker.
'Ask Me of things to come concerning My Sons;
And concerning the work of My hands, you command Me.
I have made the earth, and created man on it.
I-My hands-stretched out the heavens,
And all their host I have commanded.
I have raised him up in righteousness,
And I will direct all his ways;
He shall build My city
And let My exiles go free,
Not for price nor reward,'
Says the Lord of hosts.
I have held My peace a long time,
I have been still and restrained Myself,
Now I will cry like a woman in labor,
I will pant and gasp at once.
I will lay waste the mountains and the hills,
And dry up all their vegetation;
I will make the rivers coastlands,
And I will dry up the pools.
I will bring the blind by a way they did not know;
I will lead them in paths they have not known.
I will make darkness light before them,
And crooked places straight.
These things I will do for them.
And not forsake them.
They shall be turned back,
They shall be greatly ashamed,
Who trust in carved images,
Who say to the molded images,
'You are our gods.'
"Hear you deaf;
and look you blind, that you may see
Who is blind but my servant,
Or deaf as my messenger whom I send?
Who is blind as he who is perfect,
And blind as the Lord's servant?
Seeing many things, but you do not observe;
Opening the ears, but he does not hear."
